Our project results from a beautiful meeting: two women, two stories and the same spirit.
After spending several years in Eastern Africa, Nolwenn Brunel comes back to Brittany where she was born. Soon, she imagines that "boutique" with spicy colours where art and craft mix with harmony. D'Addis et d'ailleurs appears on the web in septembre 2007 with a collection of products in a revisiter ethnic style.... Handmade products with a Fair Trade label.
Stéphanie has a scientificité back round and speaks several languages. When she decided to change her job she decided to turner to the country she originales from : Argentina. She created Alter Casa and started importing stylish craft which was not tell known in Europe.
As soon as 2009 the former becomes the supplier of the latter, and they learn how to work together to eventually achieve a commun projet : Empreinte Ethique was created in april 2011 and started proposing their range of products to professional people.
Our involvement is consistent with our personal ethics and goes beyond entrepreneurship. We work together with a féminine touch, and stress is laid on féminine exchanges. We also take into account the principles of Fair Trade, upstream as tell as downstream, in France and Ethiopia. Social economy and solidarity are at the core of our projet
Amont our principles we see to it that orders are prefinanced , that wages are Fair and working conditions decent for the workers. We insist on sustainable partnerships, short business circuits and the use of local raw materials (Silk, clay, natural dye), rubbish and water processing. The transformation of some products is realized by les ateliers briochins a community establishment chose purpose is to help disabled persons through work.
