The items of this range were all made in a workshop in Addis Abeba (the capital of Ethiopia). Currently, about a hundred women work at the mill, weaving and completing the final details of these products.
Scores of other people work with locally produced cotton and environment friendly dye.
In the workshop, flowers, leaves, bark and roots are used, as well as insects such as cochineal. Even Ethiopian coffee, famous as it is, can be used to dye.As local production is not sufficient, the workshop works with Maïwa, a famous Canadian firm that has a reputation for its dyeing products, 100% natural.
